Dr. Catherine M. Quas Completes Board Certifications
Bend, Oregon, Jan. 23, 2013— Catherine M. Quas, DMD, recently completed her certification examinations and is now a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
The mission of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry is to verify to the public and to the health professions that a pediatric dentist has successfully completed both an advanced educational program accredited by the American Dental Association Commission on Dental Accreditation and a voluntary examination process designed to validate the knowledge, application, and performance requisite to the delivery of exceptional care in pediatric dentistry.
Achieving Diplomate status with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry is consistent with Dr. Quas’ ongoing commitment to continuing education for both herself and her staff. In 2012, Dr. Quas completed more than 200 hours of continuing education, well over the 50 hour minimum over a two year period mandated by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Quas is dual-trained in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. Her practice, Bluefish Dental & Orthodontics, was opened in 2004. A former President of the Central Oregon Dental Society (2004-2005) and current board member of the Kemple Memorial Children’s Dental Clinic, Dr. Quas was honored in 2012 with the Ronald E. Carver, MD Heart of Healthcare Award from the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic of the Cascades.
